Do regular home inspectors inspect log homes?
They inspect them — but most have never repaired one. Log construction fails in ways frame houses don’t, and the inspector industry’s own insurers advise general inspectors to refer log-specific questions to restoration specialists. That’s us.
Can you really evaluate a log home from photos and a report?
For most issues, yes — rot patterns, finish failure, insect evidence, flashing and sealant problems all show in good photos, which is why we give you a guided shot list. We’re equally clear about what photos can’t show, and every report states what we could and couldn’t see.
Is this a home inspection?
